I met Lisa when I started working at PS 222 in 1996. We ended up working together again when I started at PS 194 in 2004. Lisa was snarky with a good sense of humor. She was caring and she was there for me in the good and not so good times. Even though we lost touch as her illness progressed, I will never forget that smile and her laugh. To her son and family, know that: “Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Lisa you are loved and will be missed. Rest in peace and rise in glory, my friend.

I first met Lisa in 2005 as I began a new job with the NYC Department of Education. She welcomed me with open arms, taught me the ropes and became a dear friend. Lisa had a great sense of humor with a big vibrant personality. She was a force to be reckoned with. She was passionate about making sure children with disabilities were heard and seen and received all the services they were entitled to. Lisa was a very creative person with a wonderful artistic flair evident in every project she worked on for friends and family. I valued Lisa’s friendship. She was there for me and my family through good times and bad. I am so sorry that Lisa suffered with poor health for many years and couldn’t enjoy her time on this earth with the people she loved. My hope for her now is to be in eternal peace. I’ll miss you my friend. Till we meet again.

Lisa was my traveling buddy. Many times I would pick her up and transfer to the passenger seat and Lisa would take off for our get together for the day. She knew all the unknown gems. She was especially loved for all the help during my Christmas gift giving letters from Santa. She will be forever missed.
