Phyllis and I met when we were graduate students at CUNY in the 1970s. In our half-century as friends, Phyllis shined in several ways. She was a skilled psychological scientist with solid mathematical training and diverse interests. She was a buoyant and loyal friend, with a radiant smile. She was a "ball of energy" who loved life (despite the MS), and loved to dance, sing, laugh. Dear Phyllis enriched the lives of so many of our friends who are gone now. We miss you Phyllis, Harold Takooshian
