Building A Bucket List

Creating a "bucket list" is something that many people think about doing. The items on this bucket list represent the various experiences, aspirations, and accomplishments you hope to have before your life ends.

Build That Bucket List

Many of our Blair Mazzarella Funeral Home clients have asked us if they need to make a "bucket list." The following are some considerations that should be made:

  • The majority of us currently live exceptionally routine lives. All of us are swamped with work and private commitments. We never seriously consider the things we want to do or the experiences we truly seek.
  • What you're supposed to do and want to do is very different. As you create a bucket list, consider the above. Lists can be a great way to stay on track with your goals and inspire you to explore the world and experience its wonders.
  • The bucket list should be viewed slightly differently than lists of live-by-goal items or lengthy to-do lists. The context in which these lists are compiled, or the lens through which they are viewed, can be something as specific as a person's career, health, level of success, etc.
  • A bucket list is unique because it motivates you to pursue your personal goals and aspirations. These may seem trivial to others, but they hold great importance for you, and it is these that should be included on your bucket list.

Creating a bucket list can help you see things in a new light. It can be insightful and motivate you to work towards crossing off items on the list. For more information about our customized funeral services or help with preplanning your funeral, contact Blair Mazzarella Funeral Home.
