I have a poor memory, but two things still stand to me about Phyllis after many years. I recall her very nice, substantial outdoor furniture in the living room. But mostly what I recall is her very kind and caring nature. I really don't think I've ever met anyone for whom that was truer.

Q: What 3 words best describe Phyllis and why? A: Scrambled eggs, she made the best and all of us absolutely loved them both as kids and as adults! Unconditional love. Phyllis loved me unconditionally and was my savior when I was growing up. I don't I would have survived without her! Tidy whites. When I stayed overnight and had no clean clothes she gave me a pair of tidy whites from one of my cousins to wear while she washed my clothes. Sometimes I got to stay over the weekend!
