Obituary of David Harper

Born
David Gladstone Harper on June 26th, 1962 to Elvira And Charles (deceased) Harper in San
Fernando Trinidad.
He attended San Fernando Boys Government School, Pleasantville Junior Secondary and
Pleasantville Senior Secondary School.
He loved music and played drums professionally for Pearlwinds, Skiffle Bunch Steel pan group,
then he played with the big party bands Sound Revolution and Chandelier.
From there he joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he met his wife Michelle
(deceased). They migrated to the US in the early 1990s and had five kids, David Junior, Michel,
Johnathan, Faith and Javan aka Max. David had a passion for music. He played music at
various churches. Some to name are, Shiloh Baptist, Tuckahoe NY; Rogers SDA, Brooklyn NY;
St Augustine Episcopal, Brooklyn NY; Messiah Baptist, Yonkers NY from 1991-2019.
Later in life, he worked at MV Transportation where he met his current wife, Neola until his last
days.
David was a
A very proud grand father of Melody, Erin, Gabriel, Kyree, Maliyah, Ahmir and Tania
Siblings to Dawn (recently deceased), Gail, Franklyn, Arlene, Hayden, Sheldon and Fanta
Uncle to Arlette, Samuel, Denise, Crystal, Lemuel, Adrian, D’andra Shneice, Seniece, Tamia
and Jamison
Great uncle to Khalid, Jaxon, Mason, Kayla, Sophia and Sonali
Father in law of Shontay and Shauniqua
Son in law to Phyllis Garraway
Brother in law to Tessa, Winston, Alvin (deceased), Cheryl, Marlene, Jacynth, Kathleen, Curtis
Step dad to Kelsha, Crystal, Daryl, Kevin, Sherwin and Steve
Cousin to the Harpers Braithwaite’s, Marshalls and Donna Cox.
Friend of Gregory, Ritchie, Michelle, Carol, Anthony, Estella, the Osbornes and many more
David was such a friendly and loved person and will truly be missed by his family, friends and
peers. His work on earth has been completed and God has called His son home. One day, we
will meet again in Glory.
